Have Dry Sensitive Skin? Here’s an Easy Fix.

When winter comes around, so does dry skin. This is particularly hard on those of us who not only have dry skin, but also sensitive skin. We have to be careful what we glop on our faces to keep them moisturized or we may well wish dry skin was our only problem. Fortunately there are inexpensive and very effective solutions for the dry sensitive skin issue.

If you add 10 drops of lavender essential oil or 10 drops of chamomile oil to ½ cup of jojoba oil, in all probability the problem will be solved without going to any more fuss.

A super easy moisturizer to use on your face is to mash up an avocado, add a few drops of jojoba oils to give it a creamy consistency and apply to your face. Leave it on for 10 or 15 minutes then rinse.

You can also make an awesome face cream to chase away that arid feeling. You should use the cream twice a day. I’ve included a good recipe for you to try.

Ingredients for the Face Cream Recipe:

1 tbsp Aloe Vera Gel

1/8 cup Rose Water

1 tbsp Beeswax (white)

1/8 cup Lanolin (anhydrous) Note: you may substitute Cupuacu Butter

1/4 cup 1 tbsp 1 tsp Jojoba Oil (cold pressed)

3 drops lavender or chamomile essential oil

Instructions:

Add the aloe gel to the oil and whisk to mix thoroughly. Set this aside.

In a double boiler, heat just enough to melt beeswax and lanolin.

Stir in rosewater and keep stirring until mixture thickens.

Add mixture to jars and lightly cap until mixture completely cools then tighten caps.

It won’t be difficult for you to get your skin in shape, after all, what goddesses do when they have a problem? Fix it. That’s what they do. However, it will be important for you to be diligent. Your skin will thank you by keeping you lovely and radiant.

Now go have fun and relax.
