How to Have the Best Home Spa Party Ever

If you want to do something that’s totally fun, have a home spa party. We recommend disposing of husband and kids for the event. Send them to the movies, to the in-laws or whatever for the evening.

Invite a few of your best friends to the party. A home spa party doesn’t need to be expensive.  Ask each to bring some of the supplies (see list below). If the budget allows, you can go in with your friends to hire a masseur to come in and give everyone a professional massage. Often many salon specialist will go to your home such as a stylist or manicurist. You might even be able to get a group discount.

Basic Elements of a Home Spa Party:

Events:

  • Facial – This is sort of a must element for your party.
  • Manicure
  • Pedicure
  • Massage – We recommend splurging on a professional masseuse for this.
  • Snacks or a full meal
  • Entertainment – A movie is a good option. Games also work well. Click here for some movie ideas.

Supplies:

  • See links for facial, manicure, and pedicure for what you will need and how to do them.
  • Robes & bed sandals (guests should supply their own)
  • Towels
  • Scented candles which you have purchased or made. Click here for ideas.

Have the materials and supplies handy and know where to seat everyone for their pedicures, manicures, facials and massage before your friends arrive. An hour before they arrive, light the candles so the scent has a chance to infuse the air. Just before they arrive, turn on some background music.

After the last guest has arrived and a short time of relaxed conversation, it’s time to begin with the spa part of the party. First, have everyone put on robe and slippers. Depending on how much space you have in your home, what elements you include, how many bathrooms you have and how many friends are at your party, you may end up juggling the activities so no one is left with nothing to do. You can have each friend responsible for her own facial or your friends can give each other a facial (our recommend).

Remember, manicures and pedicures require time for polish to dry. Facial masks also require drying (20 or so minutes). While the facial mask is drying is a good time to serve your beverage.

After the last massage it’s time to have snacks or a light meal followed by the movie or games.

The most important thing about your home spa party is the fun part. Relax, have a wonderful time and enjoy the opportunity to show your friends that you love them. As an added little thoughtfulness, you might send each of your friends home with a little tin of homemade lip balm (recipe here) or lip balm that you have purchased. If you have any other ideas to add for a home spa party be sure and comment below.

Now go have fun and relax.
