Hydrogen Peroxide Teeth Whitening

Why did I go out and buy an expensive mouthwash that contained hydrogen peroxide teeth whitening? Because I had a stupid moment, that’s why. All I had to do to have the same exact effect, without the expense was use straight hydrogen peroxide for teeth whitening.

I discovered the active ingredient to whiten my teeth was hydrogen peroxide. It didn’t take much research to learn that hydrogen peroxide teeth whitening properties are undisputed and safe. You can see a difference almost immediately when you use it. Hydrogen peroxide makes makes your smile much brighter.

How to use hydrogen peroxide teeth for whitening

It’s soooo simple. All you have to do is take a capful of the hydrogen peroxide (3% solution found in most pharmacies) and slosh it around in your mouth. It will not only whiten your teeth, but kill decay causing germs.

Precautions

There are a few warning. Don’t swallow hydrogen peroxide. Not that you would want to as it’s not the most pleasant tasting stuff in the world. I hate the taste but you may not. Regardless, don’t swallow it as it’s not good for you.

You might experience your teeth becoming a little extra sensitive and or a little gum pain. These effects are minimal and will go away if you discontinue the use of hydrogen peroxide. If this happens to you, try reducing the number of times you use hydrogen peroxide to three times a week and brush with baking soda four times a week. You’ll have to experiment a bit to get it right. Whatever you do, be sure and rinse thoroughly after you use the power of hydrogen peroxide for teeth whitening.

Just to ease your mind, according to the American Dental Association, hydrogen peroxide, the 3% variety, will not damage the enamel on your teeth so no worries there.

An extra tip having nothing whatever to do with your teeth

Now I’ve got a little surprise for you. Hydrogen peroxide might be just the perfect option to use on your hair.

Spray hydrogen peroxide on your hair to lighten it if you are blond, bring out the highlights if you are a brunette or create the strawberry effect if you are a redhead. You can simply spray it on your hair and comb through while your hair is wet and leave it on or follow the comb through with a shampoo. It doesn’t really matter since hydrogen peroxide changes rapidly into water and oxygen gas.

There, now you have my take on using hydrogen peroxide teeth whitening and hair lightening properties. You and I can save a ton of money on mouth washes and tints and that will allow us to have extra cash to spend on other beauty products.

Now go have fun and relax.
