Recipes Using Essential Oils for PMS

PMS is one of those ugly little conditions that give many of our goddesses misery every month. This post is designed to give you four really effective and easy recipes to make life just that much better.

Bath Oil Recipe #1 for PMS

Ingredients:

1/4 cup Jojoba Oil (cold pressed)

8 drops Clary Sage Essential Oil

8 drops Ylang Ylang Essential Oil

Instructions:

Blend the oils together and store in an amber or cobalt glass bottle. After you have drawn your bathwater, add about 1 1/2 teaspoons (7-8ml) of the bath oil blend to your bath water.

Diffuser Oil Recipe for PMS

Ingredients:

1/4 cup Canola Oil

1 tbsp 100 proof Vodka

10 to 12 Diffuser Reeds

1 tsp Geranium Essential Oil

Instructions:

Fill bottle about 3/4 full with your essential oil(s), canola oil (sweet almond, jojoba also work well) and vodka. Stir or shake gently, add reeds and you’re almost done.

After the reeds are saturated, turn them over so the dry end is in the bottle. Wash your hands after handling the oil soaked ends of the reeds.

Ingredients:

1/4 cup Jojoba Oil (cold pressed)

8 drops Clary Sage Essential Oil

Massage Oil Recipe for PMS

Clary Sage Essential OilIngredients:

1/4 cup Jojoba Oil (cold pressed)

5 drops Clary Sage Essential Oil

5 drops Geranium Essential Oil

Instructions:

NOTE: Make your massage oil two or three days before the planned massage.

Place ingredients into an amber or cobalt bottle large enough to hold the oil. Cap the bottle and mix ingredients by gently shaking.

After 24 hours, uncap bottle and give it the sniff test. If the fragrance is too strong for your taste, add 1 to 1.5 tablespoons (15 to 22ml) more carrier oil. Again shake gently.
