Want to be Beautiful? Here’s how

What is beauty? It’s a perception. Now that’s really, really, really important to understand. What is a perception? Scientifically, it’s a process that happens in the brain. When the brain is fed information, it assembles that information into a perception of reality.

An Example

A few years ago, I happened to be in a local restaurant for a quick bite. While I was there a woman, I’m guessing in her 30’s, walked in. She was probably 50 or 60 pounds overweight and didn’t have a particularly beautiful face (my perception). I’m an avid people watcher, so the fact that I noticed her doesn’t really count. However, I also noticed everyone else that could see her from their position was also watching her with apparent admiration (particularly the guys).

So just exactly what did this relatively plain, overweight woman have going for her? Why was there such an apparent perception of beauty? I thought about that for a long time and then it dawned on me. It was because that was the perception she had of herself.

Here’s what I saw:

  • She carried herself like a queen – she held her head high, her shoulders back and literally glided as she walked. She walked with confidence.
  • Her hair was shiny and well groomed. As I recall, she wore an informal hair style.
  • She wore a dress that flowed softly around her body.
  • She wore makeup, but not in excess.
  • Her skin was smooth, clear and soft looking.

So what does this story reveal?

It reveals that to be beautiful is quite simple. Take pride in your skin by taking good care of it. Take the time for a facial scrub and mask. Take care of your body and mind. For instance, relieve stress by relaxing in a healthy Dead Sea Salt or Epsom Salt bath. Eat healthy foods. Carry yourself like the VIP that you are.

What we know about you

We know that when they made you, they threw away the mold. You are a totally unique and beautiful person whether you realize it or not. If you don’t realize it yet or think I’m full of hokum I challenge you to a test.

The Test

Take really good care of your entire body for one month. That means eating healthy foods and caring for your whole body including your skin. You can expect to feel good both physically and mentally and have more energy. You will watch a lovely metamorphous taking place as your skin softens and glows. Use some relaxation techniques such as meditation, enjoyable baths, or taking walks. Also, during this month, carry yourself like the queen that you are and remember to wear flattering clothes and yes that includes those times when you’re home alone.

This test needn’t be expensive. In fact, you can do it for pennies.
